Hey guys! Springboarding from Josh's #beeritforward post, it looks like Pontoon got a positive response as a venue for a bottle share. As I'm sure some of you remember, it's something I've been wanting to do since I got here. Now that I know it just has to be a private event to be handled legally, I'm happy to give this another go!
Taking inspiration from Ironmonger's WHALE Share in January, we're asking for $15 entry. This includes food catering, a 500ml bottle of our new Milky Way Galaxy DIPA, and a Pontoon IPA glass. We're also asking that each attendee bring at least two bottles to the share, one being a Whale. And yes, ATL Whales are fine. Having out-of-state beer or a Whale is not mandatory, so don't let that stop you from attending, but Pontoon does not accept any responsibility for people side-eyeing your bottles (kidding, we're all better than that, right?).
All bottles must be purchased from a retailer. Homebrew sharing is against DOR rules. There will be NO beer sales other than Pontoon's, per GA state law. Selling beer not made by us in our taproom is illegal.
By buying entry to this share you release Pontoon, any members of the Atlanta Beer Community Facebook group, and/or any organizers of the event from any liability concerning your drunk-ass decisions. If you have any reason to suspect that your driving ability may be impaired, you agree to arrange for alternate transportation. Seriously, please drive safe.
